Steve and Meredith: the wedding | Asheville wedding photographer

Steve and Meredith’s wedding was a fabulous Asheville, NC wedding … LOVE!

I have known Steve for quite a few years and I couldn’t be happier for him. He found the perfect lady to share his life with!

So, to set the scene a bit here … I went down a day early so that I could photograph the ‘waterfall hike’ … it was definitely a hot day, but getting out in nature is something that these two enjoy and they had quite a few friends and family who headed out with us.

After the hike, it was nice to sit for a bit in the shade of the covered bridge …

the next morning, I left the hotel and headed to the salon where the girls were getting ready …

Meredith gives Steve’s mom a hug when she comes into the salon …

Meredith watches as her mom gets her hair done …

Meredith has all hands on her, making sure everything was perfect!

her hair was absolutely perfect for their summer wedding …

Claxton Farm is such a beatiful setting for a wedding …. this was the ‘dollhouse’ where the girls got dressed for the ceremony …

Steve’s dad has a collection of unique pieces of wood that he has turned into works of art. There was a different one on each table …

Steve and his dad get ready in the bathroom at the farm …

Steve gets a little help with his boutenierre ..

they had homemade pies in lieu of a wedding cake and they rested on these beautiful sawn slices of wood …

the guests heading outside for the ceremony …

the band played everyone in …

Steve gets ready to walk into the ceremony …

here comes the bride !!

the ceremony was beautiful complete with mountains as the backdrop …

one of my favorite pictures … the hug after the kiss …

the band played the couple and wedding party out of the ceremony …

gorgeous!

Outside the guests played cornhole, horseshoes, and frisbee …

Meredith’s mom gives a toast to the new couple …

ringing the dinner bell … a tradition at Claxton Farm …

a welcome speech by the bride and groom …

a few more toasts …

after dinner, the couple danced …

Steve dances with his mom …

See? horseshoes!

as the night went on, they brought out marshmallows for roasting over the fire …

everyone had a good time:)

the night ended and I headed back the hotel … tired but very happy! Such a wonderful couple – sure to be that way for the rest of their days.

Congratulations Meredith and Steve! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

Kirby and Kyle : the engagement | Cincinnati wedding photographer

We were cutting it a little close getting Kirby and Kyle’s engagement session in before their upcoming wedding!!! These two are fun and playful and their session showed that … I had a great evening with them! They even brought their two dogs in for a few pics:)

Julie and Jay: the wedding | Cincinnati wedding photographer

Julie and Jay are one of my out of town couples who decided to get married in the city Julie grew up in – Cincinnati! These two are so much fun and Julie is always happy! I started my day at her parent’s house with the girls …

the little flower girl was ADORABLE …

While the girls prepared … so did the guys …

Jay finishing up getting ready …

Julie helps the girls get their dresses on …

then it was her turn!! She gets a little help from her mom …

Wow! Stunning!

the guys tackle the ‘pocket squares’ …

the girls head to the ceremony site …

and the guys head to the bar for a drink …

I did a few quick pictures before the guys arrived …

then Julie and Jay got to see each other for the first time …

the room inside the Cincinnati Club was beautiful … Courtenay decorated the chuppa (she’s amazing!).

Since the ceremony and reception were in the same location, I stopped in before the ceremony to get a few quick pictures of the room set up …

Umm. Did I mention that the ring bearer was also adorable???

Mazel tov!!!!

Julie and Jay’s first dance at the reception …

Time to DANCE …

So the chairs that Julie and Jay used for their Hora, had no arms on them! This explains the frightened look on Julie’s face!

Umm, and Jay’s face!

Clyde Brown took the reception into the night with fabulous music!

A good time was had by all!

Congratulations Julie and Jay! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
